Notes: The name “methiozolin” was provisionally approved by ISO in December 2008, and the replacement name “metiozolin” was sent to preliminary enquiry to correct the spelling. However, the INN “metizoline” was then found to be a barrier to the final acceptance of both spellings, and therefore the provisional approval of “methiozolin” was cancelled and the proposed replacement “metiozolin” was rejected.
